The underlying tenet of our Therapeutic program is relationship building. Our students and staff create a community of deep caring, trust, and belonging. The ultimate goal for our program is to model what it looks and feels like to be in a healthy relationship with adults and peers, and to demonstrate what it means to belong to a culture that emphasizes personal growth and learning.

At LiHigh School’s Therapeutic Program, our classes are both one-to-one and small group. In order for students to feel safe and develop trusting relationships, they need for the staff to know them deeply. Our one-to-one ratio allows for these relationships to happen,
When students know for sure that each member of the staff cares deeply for them, students become willing to take risks with their learning, embark on new experiences, and expand their awareness of the world.
