Here’s what’s coming up this week at LiHigh School. For the lunch period, we’ve detailed what’s on the menu from the Culinary Institute that day. 
Monday
  • 8:30 – 8:45am: Pick Me Up
  • 8:45 – 10am: World’s Religions Seminar: Hinduism
  • 10 – 10:15am: Break
  • 10:15 – 12:15pm: Quantitative Reasoning with Stuart
  • 12:15 – 12:45pm: Lunch (Spaghetti & Meatballs)
  • 12:45 – 2:15pm: Social Entrepreneurialism Workshop
  • 2:15 – 3:00pm: Martial Arts & Yoga
Tuesday
Green Mountain College and members of the town have created a “Thanks and Giving” day of community service. Our students will be volunteering their time and energy as part of the project; they’ll be able to use the time as part of their community service hours. Students should bring rakes for the day.
  • 8:30 – 9am: Pick Me Up
  • 9 – 12pm: Raking Leaves & General Town Cleaning
  • 12 – 12:45: Free Lunch at St. Raphael’s 
  • 12:45 – 3pm: Independent Project Work
Wednesday
Today will be the last day the students will be working on the Little Free Libraries at school. We will be sending them home at the end of the day with their Little Free Library and a four-foot post (the stand). Please make sure you bring a car that can fit the post and library when picking up that day.

Internship and Independent Project Day

Friday
The last day of our Communications term, the day of our Thanksgiving celebration, and the day of our End of Term Exhibitions

Hi, I'm Kyle. I'm an advisor at LiHigh School. I've been involved in progressive education since I was in high school. I was an original member (and student representative) of the Progressive Program at Green Mountain College, and for my Master's degree, I attended Goddard College, which started the trend toward progressive education in the 1960s. Along with teaching at LiHigh School, I teach courses in creative writing and communications at Green Mountain College. I live with my wife and daughter in Poultney.
