It’s February Already?!

Wow. These days just keep flying by. Maybe it’s because the conversations I’ve been having with the kids have been so rich and engaging that we’re totally oblivious to the seconds ticking by. Just this morning, for example, in the middle of our weekly vocab lesson, one of Logan’s innocent questions led us into a 35 minute discussion on the history of art movements from the Enlightenment up until today.

The subject wasn’t on the schedule for today, but the kids were so curious about it that it seemed a shame to stop the conversation just to fit into “the schedule.”

After all, the entire philosophy of our school is based on letting students be led by their curiosity. Today’s seminar was a great reminder of that.
